BMW Motorrad ADV-X returns for 2026, taking riders deep into the Canadian backcountry for six unforgettable days of exploration, challenge, and connection.
The journey begins in Calgary, where riders roll out toward the towering peaks and winding passes of the Rockies. From there, the route pushes west to Revelstoke, carving through rugged mountain terrain and remote gravel stretches. The adventure continues north into Sun Peaks, where flowing forest trails and alpine vistas raise both the elevation and the adrenaline.
The final leg leads south to Kelowna, where riders descend into the Okanagan Valley, trading high mountain air for sweeping lake views and a well-earned celebration at the finish line.
From Calgary to Kelowna, ADV-X 2026 is six days of demanding routes, breathtaking scenery, and the kind of riding stories that last long after the dust settles.
2025 marked the third year of BMW Motorrad ADV-X, and we were more excited than ever. In 2025, we offered riders even more thrilling trails and challenging routes designed to test their skills and push their limits.
Whether they were looking to conquer rugged terrain, explore breathtaking landscapes, or elevate their adventure riding experience — all riders skills were put to the test.
2024 marked the second year of BMW Motorrad ADV-X, and we pushed the limits even further. Riders set out on entirely new routes, taking on fresh challenges that demanded focus, control, and confidence at every turn.
Whether conquering rugged terrain, exploring breathtaking landscapes, or sharpening their adventure riding skills, every participant was pushed beyond their comfort zone and tested to the fullest.
2023 marked the inaugural year of BMW Motorrad ADV-X, launching a bold new chapter in adventure riding. Riders set out on all-new routes crafted to challenge their skill, stamina, and spirit from the very first kilometre.
From conquering rugged terrain to exploring breathtaking landscapes and sharpening their riding capabilities, every participant was pushed beyond their comfort zone and tested to the fullest.
The BMW Motorrad ADV-X is the first-ever Canadian BMW GS adventure, officially hosted by BMW Motorrad Canada. The event focuses on off-road riding on gravel/dirt roads, double track and single track routes.
Routes are pre-planned by BMW off-road instructors to provide the best experience for riders.

The event offers five days of fully guided adventure riding. Each day, attendees will get to experience up to 300 km of riding in the vast backcountry of Canada.
BMW Motorrad ADV-X is the perfect playground for GS riders of all skill levels. Throughout the adventure there will be a mix of gravel roads, double and single trail that will test your ability as an off-road rider.
Although not mandatory to participate, we recommend that riders have some off-road riding experience before joining us on the adventure.
If you are new to off-road riding, consider a day-coarse with one of our Certified BMW Off-Road Riding Schools.
BMW Motorrad ADV-X is supported by a team of off-road riding instructors and technical specialists from BMW Motorrad Canada. During the event, there will be no shortage of learning opportunities, and our team be on site to help riders every step of the way.
Our team is also well equipped to support any technical issues that may arise on the journey, from repairing flat tires, to trailside pickups, and more.
